Clackamas Town Center Transit Station Quilts
This past week, my good friend Anne shared the quilt sculptures found on the walkway rails at the Clackamas Town Center Transit Station with me. I am so happy to live in an area that honors art and craft. Not to mention that right across I-215 is Pioneer Quilts. Lucky me!!!

Wool Crazy at Pioneer Quilts September 6, 2012
Yesterday at Pioneer Quilts I spent the afternoon with my Wool Crazy class. The class was incredible. I am amazed! Take a look and let me know what you think.
This block is inspire from the book "Wool Crazy". Sharon has added her own touch. Notice the snowman, french knots & chain stitches. I am unworthy...
Noah's ark. The background is stitched and ready to go. This block makes me smile and Susan's just begun. We'll have fish, alligators, giraffes, elephants and more.
Thank you my friends for inspiring me. One of these days my second block will be ready to applique.

My dream job....
Several time a year I get to teach new quilters. In April & May of this year, I was lucky enough to have three students. They all did great jobs on their quilt tops. Above is Lona's quilt. Below is Trisha's quilt. They inspired me to make a new version of this quilt for myself. I have just finished the binding & will post a picture soon.
My Version of a "Race" Quilts
I've taken a little break from teaching pieced quilts.
Guess what?! I have been piecing & enjoying it.
My good friend, Pat, was telling me about "Race" quilts. She shared with me on how to make this quilt top.
I made two (2).
This brown one is my second one, of course, I made a couple of changes. I was going to add striped borders around the quilt. I added one border then got lazy, cut a 15" piece of my quilt off and sewed it to the other side of my border. I really like it.
I am going to have a sewing day at Pioneer Quilts to share how to make this quilt. Watch for their newsletter for information.
Be Well.

Finally, ready for block #2.
Wool Crazy at Pioneer Quilts:
We started this quilt & class in Oct. 2011; needless to say, none of us are in a rush. I finally finished the first block. I am sooooo proud. I you are interested in wool applique, you can see this piece at Pioneer Quilts. JoAnn Mullay's book "WOOL CRAZY" is great.
Stitching with Friends
It is my pleasure to be surrounded by creative, generous, kind & loving friends. I am inspired daily. Thank you Anne & Jolee for the time & energy shared creating a one of a kind piece of fabric art.
I am blessed.
ps: sorry about the blurry photos.

Crabapple Hill Berry Picking Party Quilt Blocks
I couldn't believe that at least two (2) of the students at Pioneer Quilts were further ahead in this quilt than I am. I have finished stitching block #5 & sewn the first section (four blocks) together. Hope you like the pictures.
